Ulrich Schötker

ist Kunstpädagoge und Kunstvermittler und lebt in Hamburg. Er studierte Kunstpädagogik, Freie Kunst, Germanistik und Medienwissenschaften in Kassel, London und Madrid. 1999–2002 war er tätig als Lehrer in Berlin und Madrid, gründete 2002 den Kunstverein und Projektraum »Liquidación Total« in Madrid, realisierte verschiedene Einzelausstellungen. Er war wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Hamburg und forscht zum Verhältnis von Kunstpädagogik und Kunstvermittlung an der Grenze von Kunst- und Bildungsinstitution. Ulrich Schoetker ist Studienrat an der Erich-Kästner-Gesamtschule und Fachkoordinator im Rahmen eines Hamburger Schulversuchs zur Schulentwicklung. Er war Kurator der Ausstellung und Tagung »WALDEN #3 – oder Das Kind als Medium«, Kunsthaus Dresden 2006; (mit Christiane Mennicke). 2007 war er Leiter des Vermittlungsprogramms der documenta 12.
