Jean-Luc Nancy est un penseur prolifique, non pas seulement en raison d’une œuvre abondante – plus de cent titres – mais aussi et surtout parce que sa pensée, en ouverture, incite et invite à penser ce que lui-même n’a pas thématisé. Ainsi en est-il de la catégorie de milieu. Cette catégorie, dont Georges Canguilhem à son époque marquait la contemporanéité, est plus actuelle que jamais. Elle permet de penser autrement notre monde, et ce qui fait que le monde est notre monde. Qui fait le « nous », quand on pense par le milieu ?

Cette étude consiste à montrer les conditions à partir desquelles la pensée de Nancy peut contribuer de manière puissante à une pensée de l’être-ensemble d’un point de vue écosophique.

Comment penser d’abord par la relation et non à partir d’un sujet primordial ? Comment, par conséquent, penser une autre subjectivité, par-delà la subjectivité réflexive de l’humain ?

With this book, we would like to resume the passionate conversation that Jean-Luc Nancy was engaged in throughout his life, with philosophers and artists from all over the world. Now that he has passed away, it is not enough for us to simply reflect on his work: we would like to stay true to the stance to which his thought invites us, in a pluralistic and communal way. Jean-Luc Nancy takes up the old philosophical question of truth as a praxis of a with — understanding truth without any given measure or comparison as an articulation of a with. It is a thinking responsible for the world from within the world, a language that seeks to respond to the ongoing mutation of our civilization.
