Valeria Schulte-Fischedick is a curator and author, who currently coordinates the International Studio program at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin. She researches body fragments, the abject in contemporary art, (queer)feminist theory, as well as concepts of the “formless,” its attributions and reconceptualizations. She curated amongst others the exhibitions The Sophisticated Eye – Trompe L’Oeil (2010), Mesmerized (2012), Swimmingpool – Troubled Waters (2021), MANIFEST Yourself! (Queer) Feminist Manifestos since the Suffragettes (2022–2023), and the first solo-exhibition by Del LaGrace Volcano in Berlin, Bodies of Resistance / Berlin 2024 (2024).
