Maria Julia Fernandes Vicentin (*1993, Caiçara from Serra do Mar
and Serra da Mantiqueira, Brazil) holds a degree in Social Sciences
(2019) and a Master’s in Social Anthropology (2024) from the University of São Paulo, funded by FAPESP. In 2022, she participated
in a research exchange at the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut,
Berlin. She was a Scientific Initiation Researcher at PPGAS-USP,
funded by CNPq, from 2017 to 2019. Between 2014 and 2017, she
interned at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, focusing
on conservation and collaborating with documentation, education, curatorship, and exhibitions. She works as a consultant and
manager in social, cultural, and environmental projects related
to Afroindigenous peoples in Brazil.
